Optimizing the Iowa Beginning Farmer Tax Credit

On January 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM,  we will be hosting a workshop on the Iowa Beginning Farmer Tax credit at Dickinson & Clark.

This workshop is intended to help landlords and beginning farmers that are pursuing the credit consider the lease structures that effect the credit calculation. Steve Ferguson from the Iowa Finance Authority will be with us for a brief overview of his findings and to answer any questions.

Who should attend?

  • Farmers with net worth under $704,000.
  • Landlords that rent to younger farmers.
  • Families that have young farmers interested in the business.

What will we learn?

  • What types of leases will qualify?
  • How do I calcualte the credit of my specific lease?
  • How do I know if I have enough or too much tax credit?

Seating is limited, please reserve your place by January 7.

Refreshments will be provided.
